More Oyin Updates

Okay  I’m not to sure about this stuff. I have been playing around with the sample pack for the past week.  I have had some success but no OMG or HG moments. I decided to do a flat twist out instead of the Bantu’s because the products are so light which makes me question the hold. The best thing going so far is the smell.

After I use up the rest of the sample pack I plan to do a full review. At this point in my tests, trials, and experiments I think I would only re-purchase the Greg Juice and Honey Hemp Conditioner and order it from Naturally Curly’s Curl Mart for faster delivery.

My flat twist out is okay at the most. It might have been my fault partly because I didn’t seal and stretch my ends by rolling then. The front is defined but the back is a bit on the puffy side. Its not worth taking a picture (actually I can’t find my camera). I plan to try another flat twist out and see how it goes. In the meantime if you are an Oyin user please share your combo’s of the products and success stories. I really just want this stuff to work.

My Sample Pack Made It!

Its been 3 anxious weeks but low and behold last night my Oyin Sample pack arrived (The same day I got an email that it had been already shipped). It came wrapped so cute they even had some candy in it. I did have to email them to get the full breakdown of the shipping procedures but I will share that some other time.

Still anxious I smelled all of them and everyone who has already reviewed them were right.  It smells like dessert for your hair. The only one I didn’t care for was the Whipped Pudding which reminded me off the yellow Cocoa Butter Sticks at Walgreens.

I couldn’t resist spraying my hair with the Greg Juice. It smelled like heaven in a bottle. I will re-purchase this for the smell alone. I used it again this morning to refresh my Eco Styler wash and go and it did an okay job nothing HGish.

All of the containers were filled to the brim except one. The Shine and Define looked like it had already been used. The Whipped Pudding had similar packaging but had a safety seal. The S&D also had a cottage cheesy texture which is a bit questionable. I plan to contact them about it via email. I tried to call but no one answered.

I was anxious to try out the products with a twist out put I will hold out.  In the meantime I’m still going to do a flat twist out but I will just use Lustrasilk with the Greg Juice and seal my edges and ends with the Whipped Pudding.

Still Waiting…

Its been 11 days since I ordered my Oyin sample pack…. I know that site said 2 weeks but I’m so anxious. Hopefully I will get an email saying its been shipped this week but it doesn’t look like I will be getting them before I leave for school. 😦
