Hey there my curlies,

I have had some success with the Twist and Curl (made official by Curly Nikki).  As it cools down outside  I try to lay low on the gels. Today I decided to do a TNC.

I pre-poo’d with coconut oil, co-washed  with GVP Detangler, and did a final clarifing rinse with ACV.

I sectioned my hair into 4s and applied coconut oil to my scalp and hair. I used Lustrasilk Shea Butter and Mango Cholesterol as a leave in making 3 twists per section.  I clipped the roots, sealed my ends  with my homemade whipped shea butter, and rolled them on up.

I did all this, this afternoon so they will be dry in the morning….completely dry. I don’t want any problems because I already have to get up early for my classes tomorrow. Well my fingers are crossed I will keep you posted on the results in the meantime I’m going to finsihing watching this episode of Bobby Flay’s Throwdown.

What I Say:

Overall I really liked this product. The slip was out this world thanks to the behentrimonium methosulfate. My hair felt soft and moisturized. I used it as a co-wash but I plan to try it in a twist out. I will definitely re-purchase. Its a good budget condish. It smells like cheap cocoa butter lotion but I kind of like it. The overall performance as a co-wash was great. My hair was clean and detangled. I’m not sure if I would use it daily because of the fragrance ingredients and the coloring but once or twice a week might be my plan. I also love Sally’s return policy. I didn’t like  the Tea Tree Oil condish so I switched it out and got this which was a dollar cheaper and did what  I wanted.

Price: $4.99 for 16oz

Rating:4 out of 5 diamonds  (lost a diamond for some questionable fragrance, color ingredients, and thickeners)

PJ Gone Wild

Bonjour ma curlies,

I traded my GVP Tea Tree Oil Condish in for the GVP Paul Mitchell The Detangler. I’m so excited because it has one of my favorite detangling ingredients (can you guess). I will be reviewing this in the next few days and doing a recap of all my pj’ing on a budget.
